Around the world, women and girls are disproportionately affected by the water crisis, as they are often responsible for collecting water. This takes time away from work, school and caring for family. It also affects the physical well-being of women and children who have no choice but to carry heavy vessels long distances. In their efforts to get water for their families, they often face an impossible choice – certain death without water or possible death due to illness from dirty water.
We are supporting Water.org to help change this.
